What is 'One Chord To Another'?

It is a site dedicated to Finnish pop bands.

Why this site exists?

I blame the bands involved. Their music have laid claim to my heart. These bands have given me many precious moments (silly posies quote there) and I want to try to make them better known. If even just one boy/girl have found some of his/her new favourite bands with the help of this site, I'm more than delighted. If nothing else this should work as good link list for the interested ones. I've also listened to a lot of fabulous foreign indie/power pop during the last 5 years or so and still I feel that these Finnish bands can make as great music as their likeminded foreign collegues. And while corresponding with other nationalities I've noticed that it would be a lot easier that if some information about the bands was available on one site. So there's another reason why this site was made and therefore this site was written in english although I'm aware that my english is far from perfect.

Why the name 'One Chord To Another'?

Well I wanted to pick the name from some song/album etc that meant a lot to me. Actually the first idear was Different Drum (that's Michael Nesmith's song), but I found a synth pop site that had that name. Then I tried to come up with another name and finally I ended up with this 'One Chord To Another'. A guess that as good name as any other. And it does fill up my criteria. Sloan's 'One Chord To Another' is an album that does mean a lot to me.

How do you choose the bands that are on the site?

Well basicly I've chosen the bands that I personally like / love. And so that the bands would be somehow close to indie pop, guitar pop, power pop etc. Ok, few bands are maybe a bit far from that description, but they all are great. I'm always interested in finding new bands and some new ones might appear on the site.
