Harry Hunks: 20 Miles An Hour -7" (Marsu on Paras / Rhythm Barrel, 2003)

Favourite Songs:

Bambi eyes, I'm Not Your Pet

Harry Hunks is living up to the expectations. This latest seven inch single is obviously the best thing what they've so far created. '20 Miles An Hour' is a co-release by Marsu On Paras and Rhythm Barrel Records. It's a marvellous little record. They've really progressed since the first release 'Graceland'. All of these four songs are totally wonderful and the recent 'Halailu ja Pussailu' tour showed that they have plenty of as stunning tunes which have not yet been released. If I had to pick a favourite song, it would be 'Bambi Eyes'. This upbeat song always make me feel good and when the song explodes into that wonderful sing-along chorus, I usually end up jumping around my tiny apartment. I love the song, but I'm not sure do my neighbours share my view. 'I'm Not Your Pet' is equally charming tune which gallops along with increasing intensity making our Harry Hunks ride even faster than 20 miles an hour. 'Light out' is a bit moodier piece to balance things out. As a conclusion. This is one of my current favourite bands. I'm sure they will get even better in the future, but even the level they are currently on is enough for me. If you see some ridiculous looking guy singing something like 'la-la-laa, where are you gonna go tonight, little bambi eyes' by himself on the streets of Jyväskylä, it's probably me heading towards some local bar after listening to this ep all day. Lovely.
