Goodbye Viola

Viola says goodbye with their new song. Viola music club has offered a new song each month for the past three years, but now Viola are putting the project aside. Therefore it’s a time to say thank you and Goodbye Viola. I enjoyed the ride and the band will always have a tiny sentimental place in my heart. Especially Tearcandy meant a lot to me and was my very own comfort deluxe when times weren’t as bright as they are now. It would also be one of those 10 years 10 reasons albums, but it looks I will never get that project finished, because this anniversary year is running out. Listen to Viola’s final offering (at least for the time being) Goodbye Viola at violamusiclub.com. Take care Riku & Tommi.

News: Viola

I don’t remember to mention Viola’s new song every month, but this time I do. Like you know, Viola stopped making physical releases in early 2009 and instead they give away one new song for free each and every month. Track for august is a great Red Carpet cover Traitor On The Inside. You might want to check out the earlier ones as well. Especially Heart Breaks Into a Song. That’s my 2010 Viola favourite.

Viola

A few months ago Viola decided to stop releasing physical records and started Viola Music Club where you can download or stream everything they have ever done. They didn’t stop making music though. Instead of physical releases they release one new song every month in digital format. June’s song is called A Decade and it’s musical and lyrical retrospective of the first 10 years of Viola.

Next wednesday 3rd of june is also Viola’s day and that means an annual Viola’s day festival takes place at Semifinal Helsinki. This year it has the same idea as their song of the month, to celebrate Viola’s first 10 years and they are dedicating a set for all of their three main albums.
