Our international anniversary festival continues and the next performance takes place in a mostly empty cabin at an apple orchard in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana. Artist is Hermina Jean who came to my attention when she released a wonderful EP Hot Grey about a year ago. Her song for this anniversary festival is a brand new song called Goddamnit. Next we are heading back to the Finnish shores to hear some of finest Finnish folk rock and alternative country. The core group of The New Magnetic North used to have a band called Skip Zone, so they have been delivering great songs for several years. The excellent debut album of this new band saw the light of the day just a while ago on the 1st of August and it can be found by hitting that bandcamp link below the video. Their beautiful acoustic live song for this 18 year anniversary bash is a new one and it carries the same name as the band.

Next this celebration takes us to Wisconsin, United States. One of my favorite things during the past year has been following Christopher Gold’s 27 songs project. His band Christopher Gold & The New Old Things released a brand new song every two weeks for over a year and somehow managed to keep the level of the songs really high throughout the whole project. These songs now form 3 full-length albums and you’ll find all of them from his bandcamp page. His song for this event is a new song called They Built This Prison.
