One of the most anticipated country albums of 2016 will see the light of day on 12th of August. The album in question is the new Cody Jinks album I’m Not The Devil. The previous one Adobe Sessions was already very impressive and I’m Not The Devil seem to fullfill my sky high expectations. Extremely highly recommended stuff, if you want to hear some real and true country music. New Tom Brosseau album North Dakota Impressions is ready to drop into your heart on 16th of September. I lost track of him for a few years, but got back on board with 2014 release Grass Punks. Still haven’t done my homework and aren’t familiar of his doings between 2007 and 2014, but the last two albums, already mentioned Grass Punks and Perfect Abandon (2015) are both really good. I’m fairly sure everything he did during the timeframe I missed is just as great. Anyway, the new one is coming out this fall on Crossbill Records and there’s a couple of songs already out there. I’m very fond of both of them. Here’s the first single You Can’t Stop.

The release of Courtney Marie Andrews’ wonderful album Honest Life is getting closer each day. US release date is August 19th and it comes out on my favorite label Mama Bird Recording Co. Loose Music takes care of UK/Europe in January. A second song from the album surfaced a week or so ago. How Quickly Your Heart Mends might be familiar to you from the Leuven Letters EP, but such a remarkable song deserves to be heard on a proper full-length album.
