Paperfangs – AAVVAV

The big news of the day was that Soliti signed a new band, Paperfangs. Which is nice and Paperfangs is an excellent addition to the label’s roster. Dreamy, electronic and beautiful indie pop. Paperfangs just self-released their EP AAVVAV last week digitally (limited edition cassette will follow on 26th of march). You can find the EP from their bandcamp. This one below is a song entitled Lifelong. Definitely my own favourite from the EP. That simple chorus is stuck in my head.

Viljami Kukkonen – Mörönsyötti

Today I bought Mörönsyötti by Viljami Kukkonen and I instantly fell in love with it. If I still wrote proper reviews, this one would get full five hearts. Mörönsyötti holds so much beauty and comfort inside. Listening to it for the first time ended up being almost like a spiritual experience. Part of the reason for that was that I had only heard one song beforehand and I simply didn’t know that I was going to spend an afternoon with something so amazing, colourful and captivating. However, after the third song I was already convinced that I was listening to something very special and that feeling have only become stronger during the day. Extremely and monstrously highly recommended. If this won’t end up being in my top 10 for the year 2012, it will be one incredible year. This is the opener Hoivaa.

Esa Linna – She’s Not a Human Being EP

Esa Linna will release his debut EP She’s Not a Human Being in Finland on the 29th of february. As previously mentioned, the title song She’s Not a Human Being features pop wizard Roger Joseph Manning Jr (Jellyfish etc) on backing vocals and keyboards. The full-length album will follow before the end of the year. Preview the EP below (for some weird reason this set seem to only show 3 songs in here even though there’s 4 songs on the soundcloud set).
