News: The Mommyheads touring in Finland

American pop group The Mommyheads is about to hit these shores this weekend and play a couple of shows with some great Finnish support acts Bookends, Flannelmouth and The Everglades. They are a very fine band although I must admit that I’m only familiar with their Geffen released self-titled album from 1997. That was a really good pop album even though I don’t think it sold that well (good music rarely does). Some of their earlier stuff seem to be on spotify, so I need to do some background work on that. The band split up in 1998, but reformed a couple of years ago and are making new music. Their latest album Delicate Friction is due out March 18, 2011 on Dead Frog Records in Scandinavia.
