OCTA New Music Weekly – Episode #299

Another bit late edition of the new music weekly, but managed to put something together on Sunday evening. I hope I didn’t forget too much stuff.

There’s new albums from Christo Graham, The Hard Quartet, Fred Thomas, Joan Shelley (EP), Erisy Watt, Darrin Bradbury, Nick Flessa, Kasey Anderson, Hayes & The Heathens, Roger Harvey & Simon Flory, Holy Matter, Yasmin Williams, Taylor Hollingsworth, Garrett T. Capps and The NASA Country , Henry Parker & David Ian Roberts, Slowforce, Peter Bruntnell, Pop Filter, Mr. Husband, Dan Reeder, Thee Sacred Souls and Leon Bridges.

A bit shorter Finnish part this time around, but there’s two big album releases from Arppa and Joose Keskitalo & The Mystic Relevation of Teppo Repo. Also singles from Saara Heikkilä, Emilia Sisco and Cold Diamond & Mink, Juhlat feat Ty Roxy and Jere Valkonen. I think Saara’s was last week, but I just found out some days back and liked it a lot.

From the international singles category some early faves came from The Weather Station, Leponds, Emma Munger, Chris Acker, Tedo Stone and Drew Beskin, Mt. Misery, Zachary Lucky, Snowgoose, Dakota Theim, Max Bien Kahn… again just to name a few.

That’s all for now. Like, share, follow and all the usual promotional nonsense. It all matters. Next week episode 300 and then I’m done. Well not really, but this 299 was a struggle. Love and all that.

A few Bandcamp cuts for the lovely non-streamers:

Oh and do buy the vinyl/cd/download. Spotify and other streaming services are perfect for these introductory purposes, but try to buy at least the music that matter the most to you

I’ll make the playlist on Spotify and then transfer it to other platforms. This means a few tracks might be missing from the from the other platforms, if they are not available there. Oh and there’s a bunch of older episodes on my Spotify profile, if you miss an episode or want to revisit.

If you are looking this after a week has gone, the embedded Spotify will show the latest playlist. I’ll just update the same playlist because if someone wants to follow it, they can just follow that one list and will get a new set of songs each weekend.
