Another week, another new music weekly.
A year is coming to an end and the release schedule is not that crowded anymore. I’m also focusing on the year end list and might miss stuff. I will do this at least next week though, because there’s some most likely great ones still on the way. Duff Thompson, Desolation Horse, Kacy & Clayton and Marlon Williams and so forth.
Let’s start this week from the Finnish ones, because they didn’t get the memo that one should mostly release holiday tunes at this time of the year. There’s a candidate for the song of the year list from Kielo Kärkkäinen (first single from her next album) and the album of the year list from Bad Sauna. We also have great new singles from Pekka Laine, Tomi Nordlund & Syvä Joki, Matti, Vino Puu and Pelko. Plus revisit to the wonderful Nightbird album from the past week.
My favorite international album/release is the new Gladie EP. I’ve listened No Call List a few dozen times since yesterday. There’s also an album from Winston C.W. and EP from Matthew Ryan. I’m sure there had to be a few more. Langhorne Slim did release side A of Strawberry Mansion. Christo Graham album is a November release that I stumbled upon during Bandcamp day. First time on this list.
Update a few hours later: Just saw that Jeff Loops released an album. I added a song from it to the playlist as well.
As for international singles. A big one are the final Neal Casal singles. A new Esther Rose song is always exciting. Desolation Horse, Three Sacred Souls, LadyCouch and Pony Bradshaw also continue to impress. Oh yeah and Carla Geneve released a new band version of a song that I love oh so much. Everything else would of course be worth a mention, but you’ll find from the list below. And as mentioned last week, the Christmas song are on a separate playlist.
