OCTA Weekly Playlist – Episode #80

Another week, another weekly playlist.

This was quite a monster release week and I just didn’t have enough time to listen everything that came out. So don’t use this one as your only source. There’s way more than I had time to include here.

The new Lilly Hiatt album was the big one for me, but there’s a whole lot more. The week brought new albums from Dana Gavanski, Jennah Barry, Waxahatchee, Nap Eyes, Clem Snide, Margaret Glaspy, Jesse Daniel, Jim Lauderdale, Daniel Romano (live album), Basia Bulat, Jim Andralis & The Syntonics, Zoe Fox and the Rocket Clocks, Amy LaVere, Brian Fallon, Cable Ties, Lemon Pitch, Anthony Da Costa and Phi-Psonics. Plus an EP from Ada Lea.

The Finnish highlight is the new Joose Keskitalo album. Other home shore picks are the singles from Arppa, V.Härkönen, Pelko, Vasas flora och fauna and Antti Pouta feat Ylva Haru.

And then there’s obviously lots of gorgeous singles. The new Andrew Bryant single was probably the brightest star for me, because I’m such a big fan. Other treasures include the likes of Caleb Caudle, A.O.Gerber, Joshua Ray Walker, Christian Lee Hutson, Esther Rose, Craig Finn and so forth. I could namedrop them all, but you’ll find them below.

That’s it for this week. Take care everyone. Love love love.

Playlist link

Oh and do buy the vinyl/cd/download. Spotify and other streaming services are perfect for these introductory purposes, but try to buy at least the music that matter the most to you

If you are looking this after a week has gone, the embedded Spotify will show the latest playlist. I’ll just update the same playlist because a) if someone wants to follow it, they can just follow that one list and will get a new set of songs each Sunday b) so that I don’t have a trillion of different playlists on my Spotify account.
