OCTA New Music Weekly – Episode #301

Here we are again. A bit earlier episode this time around.

New Office Culture is the album of the week. This week there’s also new albums from Snowgoose, Breymer, Blunt Chunks (well this is actually April release, but somehow I missed it back then), Nap Eyes, Generifus, Jim Nothing, Humdrum, Tim Heidecker, Scott Orr, Christopher Owens, Jay William Henderson (EP), Danny & the Champions of the World, Rambling Nicholas Heron, Benjamin Tod, Beau Jennings & The Tigers, Noeline Hofmann (EP), Liv Greene, Lindi Ortega and This Lonesome Paradise. Oh and split EP by Charlie Havenick and Finnish Postcard.

A big Finnish release week too led by the great new Litku Klemetti album. Also thrilled to have a couple of new Topi Saha songs in this world. Other Finnish gems of the week are albums from Nevala, Aurora Hentunen and Peijas plus singles from Minkki, myrtsi (this is from a week ago, but I discovered it a bit late. Thanks to Orvokki btw, because I first heard this great Myrtsi single on her instagram stories), Viive, Jani Matti Juhani, Itcevät, Ptak, Hanhani and Ville-Veikko Airaniemi.

And finally the international singles. Some early faves here came from Haley Heynderickx, The Innocence Mission, Clara Mann, Sam Blasucci, Alex Dupree, Dorothea Paas and Gladie. Again just to name a few.

That’s all for now. Like, share, follow and all the usual promotional nonsense. I have more important things than this next weekend, so I’m not sure will there be a new music weekly or not. If not, I’ll cover two weeks with the next one. I’ll let you know on the social media platforms. Love love love.

A few Bandcamp cuts for the lovely non-streamers:

Oh and do buy the vinyl/cd/download. Spotify and other streaming services are perfect for these introductory purposes, but try to buy at least the music that matter the most to you

I’ll make the playlist on Spotify and then transfer it to other platforms. This means a few tracks might be missing from the from the other platforms, if they are not available there. Oh and there’s a bunch of older episodes on my Spotify profile, if you miss an episode or want to revisit.

If you are looking this after a week has gone, the embedded Spotify will show the latest playlist. I’ll just update the same playlist because if someone wants to follow it, they can just follow that one list and will get a new set of songs each weekend.
