Another short and quick post of songs/videos that I love. A New Orleans edition.
The Lostines from New Orleans are one of my big favorites of 2024. Their new album Meet the Lostines might even end up being my AOTY when it is time to wrap 2024 in to the history books. I think it would be, if I made that list today. That’s how much I love this album. Here are Full Moon Night and Neon Lights from this 5/5 album.
Staying in New Orleans. That previous Neon Lights video had a lot of other familiar faces too. One of them was Chris Acker who is about to release his next album Famous Lunch in October. The awesome first single Shit Surprise just came out last week.
More New Orleans and even newer, because the latest Max Bien Kahn single and music video Whatever You Want just came out today. Full album Flowers will follow November 1st, so don’t submit those aforementioned AOTY ballots before that.
Desiree Cannon’s album Radio Heat is also one of my big 2024 favorites. Desiree Cannon is based in Oakland, California, but there’s a big New Orleans connection here too and this is actually a good companion to that The Lostines album as well. Especially this song video song called Tower. Wonderful stuff.
