Day job recreation day yesterday so I’m a bit behind schedule and did this rather quickly. I’m sure there’s again plenty of stuff that I missed.
A big country three from James McCann, Dylan Earl and Charlotte Le Lievre starts this one. Those three can share the album of the week title. Although I haven’t even listened the full albums yet, but I’m loving them all on quick listen. This week we also got new albums from Shana Cleveland, Eyelids, Scree, BennyHonda Supershifter, The Nude Party, The War and Treaty, Ritch Henderson, Elliot Blaufuss and Kate Sycamore. TV Star EP is a couple of weeks old, but I just found it from my Bandcamp feed and it seemed really good (thanks to shyzen2).
From Finland there’s a couple of big album releases from Arppa and Sam Shingler. Both wonderful. Well for streaming Sam has part three of the Boundaries EPs, but there’s a whole physical Boundaries LP out there too that also has a couple of non-streaming tracks. An interesting way to encourage folks to buy stuff. A good way too I think. It doesn’t alienate the folks who just stream, but also gives a bit extra for the ones who buy music. We also have couple of EPs from Evita and half-Finnish duo of Julia Gjertsen & Juha Mäki-Patola plus singles from Markus Perttula, Fox Confession, Juppe and Paleface feat Ylva Haru. I had to include that Paleface song too, because it’s a powerful song and it features beautiful vocals from a big fave Ylva Haru. I just don’t have any logic here, because last week I didn’t include that Paperi T song even though I liked it. Back then it felt like expanding this playlist even further might not be wise, because this is already longer than anyone will listen and compiling it already takes forever. Yet here I am a week later. Oh and I also revisit last week’s gorgeous Ulla Kolla album at the end of the playlist.
The international song of the week is the new one from Willi Carlisle. What a magnificent song once again. We also have awesome first singles from forthcoming Michael James Tapscott and Joanna Sternberg albums. Some other early faves came from Brigid Mae Power, Greg Mendez, Rose City Band, Wila Frank, Panic Pocket, Nat Vazer, Kyle Cox and Charlotte Cornfield. Again just to name a few.
That’s all for now. Like, share, follow and all the usual promotional nonsense. It all matters. Love from a distance.

Oh and do buy the vinyl/cd/download. Spotify and other streaming services are perfect for these introductory purposes, but try to buy at least the music that matter the most to you
I’ll make the playlist on Spotify and then transfer it to Tidal. This means a few tracks might be missing from the Tidal version, if they are not available on that platform. Usually it’s 1-3 tracks that are not on Tidal. There’s a bunch of older episodes on my Spotify profile, if you miss an episode or want to revisit.
If you are looking this after a week has gone, the embedded Spotify will show the latest playlist. I’ll just update the same playlist because if someone wants to follow it, they can just follow that one list and will get a new set of songs each weekend.
