Another week, another new music weekly.
I’m on vacation plus it’s the Super Bowl weekend and therefore this is a bit rushed effort. I hope I didn’t miss too much good stuff. Feel free to send reminders / hate mail.
The really big one is again from Finland, because one of my favorite bands Teini-Pää released a new album. There’s also a great new album from Emmy June and singles from Plastic Tones, Radio Supernova, Pekka Laine, Captain Cougar and Pillow (well Pillow was last week, but I missed it then). Oh and there’s also a half Finnish, half Norwegian collaboration from Julia Gjertsen & Juha Mäki-Patola. Also revisiting last week’s Laura Moisio album and Ilmi Lupiini Martti EP.
From the international side of things I’m most intrigued by the new Andy Shauf album. A new Yo La Tengo album is always worth investigating. I’ve loved all the Tim Hill singles too and I look forward diving into the full album. Then we also have new albums from Theo Lawrence, Tex Perkins and The Fat Rubber Band, Mary Elizabeth Remington, Pearla, Dignan Porch, William Harries Graham, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Jill Barber and Wolfpen Branch.
Lots of good singles too. I dig The Lost Days one which is a collaboration from Tony Molina and Sarah Rose Janko (Dawn Riding). Andy Sturmer has a surprise new pop monster on a soundtrack. James McCann released a couple from his forthcoming album. Esther Rose signed a deal with New West Records and released a single. I’m also very fond of the new ones from Hayden, Cinder Well, I’m Kingfisher, Andrew Gabbard, Slaid Cleaves, Robert Ellis and Goodnight, Texas. Again just to name a few and it’s way too early to tell which will end up being my favorites.
That’s all for now. Like, share, follow and all the usual promotional nonsense. Next Super Bowl. Love from a distance.

Oh and do buy the vinyl/cd/download. Spotify and other streaming services are perfect for these introductory purposes, but try to buy at least the music that matter the most to you
I’ll make the playlist on Spotify and then transfer it to Tidal. This means a few tracks might be missing from the Tidal version, if they are not available on that platform. Usually it’s 1-3 tracks that are not on Tidal. There’s a bunch of older episodes on my Spotify profile, if you miss an episode or want to revisit.
If you are looking this after a week has gone, the embedded Spotify will show the latest playlist. I’ll just update the same playlist because if someone wants to follow it, they can just follow that one list and will get a new set of songs each weekend.
