Another week, another weekly playlist
Guess what? There’s a lot of great new albums this week. Top of my own lists were long time favourites Craig Finn and The Pearlfishers closely followed by new favourites Mammoth Penguins and Run Coyote. That’s again just a tip of the recordberg. There are new albums from Kevin Morby, Aldous Harding, Starflyer 59, The Mountain Goats, Josh Ritter, Kelly Finnigan, Steel Blossoms, Hannah Cohen and Wild Firth. Nataly Dawn and Lenny Bull made the only new EPs on the list. I’m sure there’s much more out there that I don’t know about.
On the singles front, the big news is the first single from a forthcoming Claire Cronin album. Pony Bradshaw, Bedouine, Jake Xerxes Fussell and TK & The Holy Know Nothings continue to impress and released new outtakes from their next full-lengths. Dana Gavanski and Fell Runner were the new finds of the week for me. Everything else would be worth of a namedrop too.
The Finnish section contains new singles from Liljankukka and Salainen Avaruusohjelma. Salainen Avaruusohjelma also has a full album on iTunes at least, so check that out. That can’t be all the Finnish stuff that came out this week.
And my apologies, if you’ve sent me email and I haven’t replied. I’ve lost the email game and have between 1000-2000 unread emails all the time. Eventually I’ll catch up, but I’m just worn out at the moment. But if you have something urgent, feel free to hit me up on social media. Or at least put something like Vesa or onechord on the subject of the email line. That way I might not miss it. That’s all for now. Remember love.

Oh and do buy the vinyl/cd/download. Spotify and other streaming services are perfect for these introductory purposes, but try to buy at least the music that matter the most to you
If you are looking this after a week has gone, the embedded Spotify will show the latest playlist. I’ll just update the same playlist because a) if someone wants to follow it, they can just follow that one list and will get a new set of songs each Sunday b) so that I don’t have a trillion of different playlists on my Spotify account.
